Gameplay info
Shoot the object bead by aiming toward a group of same-color beads to eliminate that group. More beads will be periodically added at the beginning of the track, and the objective is to eliminate all beads before any of them reach the end of the track.
In higher levels there are an increased number of bead colors, and the groups of similarly colored beads become much smaller. This makes it harder to note the color of the new object bead, select a likely aiming point, and successfully eliminate a group of beads in time. Slowing down this process is the only way to beat each level.
The TAB key allows you to slow down the game to a point where every level can be beaten easily. Every time you point and click to fire a bead, press the TAB key. This pauses the game, the 'Click to Continue' message displays, but the playing area is not hidden with the pause. You can see the bead you just fired between the object bead location and the target location you selected. You can also see the next object bead. This allows you to determine the next target and aim without losing any time. Once you are correctly aimed, click (to continue) and the next bead should fire as a result of that click. Press the TAB key again and repeat until the level is finished. Sometimes clicking to continue does not fire the next bead but only un-pauses the game. Just delay pressing the TAB key until you actually see motion from the object bead. If you don't see that motion immediately, click again to fire, THEN press the TAB key.
This method does more than double the amount of time to get through each level, but it also affords the opportunity to actually get through each level. The need to recognize sometimes having to single click and sometimes having to double click serves to add a level of skill to this that makes it slightly less mindless, but you still have to get through about 60 levels before you reach the 1,000,000 necessary for ML10. Fortunately, the difficulty level seems to reset after about level 40. The colors used reduces again to 3, and the groups of beads become much larger. This seems to be cyclic, so that would make levels 30-40, 70-80, 110-120, etc. the hardest levels.
The game will unpause without firing the next bead if your cursor is positioned over the "Click to Continue" message. If your cursor is anywhere else in the gameplay area it will fire the next bead with t\your first click.
