Chicken Invaders 3 is slightly similar to the classic arcade game Space Invaders.

The game consists of unlimited rounds of ten levels each.

Tips and Strategies

Getting ML10 in this game mostly takes skill at not dying. the only tips I can give are:

EAT CHICKEN... it's a good source of protein!! The chicken legs that fall from the chickens you kill are counted toward extra lives at the rate of 100 legs per extra life. Plus they are worth points, 50pts each times which round you are on.

If our schools can say "No child left behind"(and yet we still have illiterates).. then I say "no chicken left behind"(occasionally one or two may slip by)

BEWARE : eggs splattered on the "ground" can still kill you!!!

On the grid levels, 1, 4, & 7, you can use guerilla tactics to complete the level. For example; if the grid is moving from left to right, stay at the right hand side of the grid, so that your straight shots will just hit the lowest chicken in the right-most column. If you cannot complete the level before they get to the far right side of the screen, either go over them (they can't shoot up, but then again you can't shoot down) or under them (a little more dangerous as they can fire down) to get to the other side and continue as before but from the left.

If you have a slower computer, turn off sound on the menu or start screen as this will make the motion smoother and the speed a little quicker.

Weapons

How many shots it takes to kill a chicken is determined by the level you are on and what your weapon level is.

Weapon levels run from 1 to 9, with spread shot starting at 5.

If and when you die, your weapon level is cut in half, and rounded up if necessary. ie... level 9 becomes (4.5)5... level 8 becomes 4.... level 7 becomes (3.5)4 etc etc

Level 1

Level 1 is called Classic Invasion. on this level the chickens come from the top left and top right corners to fill a rectangular grid. The best way to start this level is from either the right (my preference) or left side, constantly shooting as they come in. With spread shot you can potentially kill half of the incoming chickens as they fill the grid.

Level 2

Level 2 is called Pop Til You Drop. First you break their balloons, then they are free-range chickens, and can go wherever they want (including off-screen). Then you kill them. I suggest that you try not to free-range too many at once, as then they can run into you. It is not necessary to kill any or all of the chickens to pass this level.

Level 3

Level 3 is called Asteroid Storm. Although you can just avoid the meteors and still pass the level, they are worth points. Meteors are worth 50 points and increase by 50 points per round. You can also get power-up from the meteors.

Level 4

Level 4 is called Double Trouble. Similar to level 1, this time they come from the center of the screen to fill the grid. Pick a place in the middle and start shooting.

Level 5

Level 5 is called Do The Chicken Huddle. The chickens come from above randomly, and gather into a random pattern. I find that I can usually kill most if not all before they come to roost.. I mean rest at their random pattern positions

Level 6

Levle 6 is called Close Encounters. I have found that sitting bottom-center of the screen works 95% of the time to kill them all. You might have to move left or right to avoid a falling egg.

Level 7

Level 7 is called Treble Trouble. Similar to levels 1 & 4, this time they come from the bottom right and bottom left corners to fill the grid. I have found the best place to start this level is right of center to kill as many of the incoming from the bottom right corner as possible.

Level 8

Level 8 is called Chicken Harmonics. On this level, the chickens come from first the right, then the left, then the right, then the left again, a little lower each time. They perform a bell curve pattern, and once they're gone, they're gone. I have found that the best place to kill and not get killed, is just to the middle of where each incoming line starts its up turn to the middle.

Level 9

Level 9 is called Bonus Challenge. This one is quite simple actually. Each treasure chest takes but a single hit to destroy. With spread shot, this should be an easy full clear. If you are nervous, just clear a path directly above you, so that you can move on to Level 10.

Level 10

Level 10 is called Show 'Em Who's Boss. As with most of this type of game, the BOSS is the hardest to kill. I try to not move any more than necessary, while keeping a steady stream of fire going. He will run into your shots. Watch out, he may dive bomb you.

After this the levels repeat, but the chickens are harder to kill.
