Generic Tips and Tricks
Need help getting Mastery Level 10? Or just want help for a certain game? Then lookup your game on the Games page. If you have additional tips, feel free to add them to the corresponding game page. There are a couple of generic tips which will help you to get the most out of your game.
Get Killed!
Several games have limited levels, and when you have played them all the game ends. With such games it might be more prudent to let yourself be killed and redo a level to get more points. A good example of this is Gem Shop.
Take a picture!
There are also a couple of strategy games with timers, where the timer ticks the time away while you are planning your next move. Most of the time you can take a snapshot of the game (the PrtScr key on your keyboard), pause the game, and look at the snapshot with paint or any other graphical program. Take your time to calculate your move, unpause the game and do your move. Slide Poker and Mah Jong Tiles are 2 examples of those games.
Reset game progress
Some games might give you unlockables as you play and these are retained across playing sessions. However, some might also limit your possible score on subsequent plays. In this case it might be necessary to "reset" the game using the following method:
- Open Windows Explorer ("My Computer") and enter this into the address bar: %APPDATA%\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects
- After pressing enter, it should show a folder with 8 random numbers and letters. Go into this folder, then into zone.msn.com, then BinGame.
- This folder contains the saved data for games that have it (except for Flowerz, which is in the previous folder). Delete whichever you want to reset. You can verify which FourCC belongs to which game from the Analyzer page - hover the mouse over the game you want to reset and watch the status bar at the bottom. The game's code will appear at the end of the Web address.
Note: this will also cause any unlocked features (such as game modes) to be re-locked, meaning you'll have to unlock them again.
