How to Play
Click the ‘pool’(1) letters to form a word, submit the word to fill in a box at the right(2), which will fill in one or more pieces in the jigsaw puzzle above(3). Use the buttons to manipulate the letters. From left to right, they are (4)backspace one letter in the formed word, (5)“clear” any letters in the formed word, (6)submit/“enter” the formed word, (7)“shuffle” the order of the ‘pool’ letters, and (8)display the last word submitted.
You can also use the keyboard for most of the functions of the buttons. Type the letters, hit Enter to submit the word, or to re-display the last word. Backspace to backspace. The space bar will shuffle the ‘pool’ letters.
Or you can combine the use of the keyboard and the mouse however you wish.
Your goal is to submit enough words to complete the puzzle.
If you are really stuck you may click the Hint button. This will randomly fill in one letter per word slot, and may be used up to 3 times per level.
Once the puzzle is complete, the go to next level button is displayed. You may click it or keep submitting words to accrue more points.
THERE IS NO CLOCK (and therefore no time bonus!)
Scoring
The score accrues as you complete the puzzle, and is based solely on the length of the word.
Bonus points are awarded at the end of each level, based solely on how many hints you used (regardless of how many words there are, how many you got, how many hint letters were provided, or whether any words were completed with the hint letters).

Tips
Watch for common suffixes such as -ed, -ing, and -ly. Puzzles that contain s have more words, usually, because you can add it to many of the words to get another word. Remember that the words are alphabetized, so use that.
Tips to get ML10
To get enough points for ML10 you need to get all the points on some levels and most of them on the rest. It is very achievable if you are good with words or play often because the Jig Words’ dictionary is relatively limited and easy to remember. Avoid the Hint button as it is fairly costly. If you are going to use it do it early to get the most value from it.
Bugs
If you type in all words too fast (or by bot) and click the level results screen to go to the next level, the puzzle pieces will keep filling in during the next level. Additionally, the game may lock up (with sparks appearing on the word space and nothing responding to the keyboard or mouse), or the puzzle pieces may start filling in in groups of four and completing the puzzle before you even enter your first word.

- Bot - types in the words for you automatically. Freeware, also works as a bot for other typing-oriented games.
