Gameplay information
Pyramid Solitaire is played with a 52-card deck. First, 28 cards are dealt into a pyramid, starting with one card at the top. The pyramid has 7 rows, each centered at the same axis, and the number of cards equals the row position. Each card covers the one on its upper left and upper right (if there are cards in those places). The remaining 24 cards are put in the draw pile. Only the top card in the draw pile is exposed. It is possible to put the top card from the draw pile to the discard pile, but not backwards. Only the top card of each pile and the exposed cards in the pyramid may be used to make matches. The possible matches are as follows:
| Ace (1) | Queen(12) |
| 2 | Jack(11) |
| 3 | 10 |
| 4 | 9 |
| 5 | 8 |
| 6 | 7 |
| King(13) | N/A |
Kings are a special case: they may be removed with a single click, without needing another card to match them with.
The allowed time per game is 2:30. It is possible to redeal up to 2 times per game. Redeal resets the time bonus, but not the score or the remaining time.
Tips
Pausing is a good way to extend the very short 2:30 time limit.
