Shapo™
From Badges Wiki
Although the game was retired much earlier, it was still playable using a backdoor. After MSN found out we were still playing it, they disabled the backdoor on 2009. Jan 29.
Tips From Milehigh
I thought I would add a tip for Shapo since it looks like there are only a few with ML 10.
The big key to this game is to leave the board blank at the end of each level. Once you are done with all but one piece (preferably a sinle dot), try to keep the board balanced and then single pieces will come out after about 10 seconds. Unfortunately, I think only one extra piece will come out, so you will now have 2 pieces, place one on the board keeping it balanced and repeat process until you can clear the board using your last piece.(edit: (Guido_D) using this method, one should be able to infinitely get an all clear bonus of 2500 points by just waiting for the next piece to come out before placing the last piece to get the level complete bonus.) There are very big bonuses when you leave the board blank, up to 65,000 points for the last levels. Also try and clear the level throughout the game as there are smaller bonuses (2500 points) when it is cleared.
The online version of Shapo will end with Level 5-5, so if you have extra lives at that time, play up until your last piece and let yourself lose so you can replay the level.
Tips from Jam Baby
The single pieces can be right clicked while being held to change their colour and weight. This will help you balance the board especially when you trying to end the level with no pieces.
Tips from Kindred
First you need to try and keep the gold and greens in the center, blues and browns more to the sides, this will stop the balance running over to one side before a "single" ball appears to be used wherever needed. (You may want to take your time and study a couple of combinations before placing them).
Next, it is vital that you make line matches AT THE TOP first. If you start at the bottom you won't be able to get the perfect bonus points after each level. Look for the Yellow or Green matches and get them first.
On later levels when you come across the dark blocked spaces, you need to place some of the heavy balls first then be patient and place the singles one at a time. I try to leave at least the top row empty because when you make a match it's hard to tell if the rest of the balls will balance or keel over to one side, then you can make a couple of heavy additons as needed to get you out of a tight spot.
Another tip is if you are unsure what will happen when you place your next ball, be patient and let the beam almost reach the top then place the ball and it will bring the beam back down and hopefully give you enough time to make a match or get the next single ball to appear.
For mastery level 10 you will need nearly all of the full bonuses. I'm not sure about this but I think you can mess up 3-4 times. You still have to finish each level to move on, but, it doesn't have to be perfect.
Good Luck Everyone.
