The points come from words made in the preliminary rounds as well as planting the flowers.

For all 10 rounds you will receive (4,100*9)+ 5,150= 42,050 points (which is enough to get ML10).
In the planting round you get the following points for matches:

Note that you get more points by making a short match and adding flowers to the end(s) of it. If you have 2 flowers next to each other, followed by an empty space and another flower, placing a 4th one there will only give you 80 points, but if you place down 3 flowers next to each other and add a 4th one, you get 60+80=140 points.
Never "Skip Planting". If you do, you lose the 200 points per flower and any match bonuses.
